Traffic queues behind three-vehicle Bruce Highway crash

UPDATE: Traffic is lining up behind the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Meridan Plains.

A police spokesman said it appeared two four-wheel-drives and a small sedan had been involved in a collision in the southbound lanes of the highway near the intersection of Caloundra Road.

He said paramedics were treating a person for a cut to the head but otherwise it didn't appear anyone had been seriously injured.

Crews were called to the scene at 8.55am.

Main Roads issued an alert saying the crash was blocking one lane of the highway.

EARLIER: Emergency services are on their way to a Bruce Highway crash at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said crews had been called to a crash near the Caloundra Road interchange about 9am.

He said it appeared to have involved three vehicles.
