Storms a chance of rolling over Coast

THUNDERSTORMS building in western Queensland could reach the Sunshine Coast later this evening.

Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist Aditi Sharan said there was a chance thunderstorms could reach the Coast.

"An inland trough is going to cause that activity,” Miss Sharan said.

Very light rain fall readings were recorded in Landsborough and at Baroon Pocket Dam throughout Saturday.

Miss Sharan said weather was expected to be clear and sunny on Sunday, with temperatures peaking in the low 30s across the region.
